Dr. Alenka-Ursula Levicnik is a specialist in pathology and an author dedicated to making medical science accessible to the general public. Currently serving as a Senior Physician (Oberärztin) at the Institute for Clinical Pathology and Molecular Pathology (Innpath GmbH) in Villach, Austria, Dr. Levicnik specializes in the diagnosis of disease through the examination of tissues and cells. Her medical career includes significant contributions to clinical diagnostics and participation in academic research, having co-authored papers on topics ranging from surgical techniques to the "One Health" concept of wellbeing. Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Levicnik is the author of Hello from the Inside: Learn about Your Wacky Insides (2020). Through this publication, she bridges the gap between complex medical concepts and lay readers, offering a unique "pathologist’s eye view" of the human body that is both educational and engaging.
